A little family clip we made for fun. Forgot to publish it before.
As you know my business is very close to my heart as this is what i do 24/7 (nearly) & we only have 1 life, i want only the best for my clients & i hope it shows.
I want my clients to know me personally as i try to get to know them personally & as i develop friendships over time with many of my clients & truly love what i do i hope this will become clear to everyone that views my work.
Here is a very short clip of us having some fun & my son having his first taste of ice cream!, it is 100% unrehearsed etc.. we just went with it & the ice cream truck happened to pull up right behind us.
He was so little my wife was worried about letting him eat it but i couldn’t really help myself as i know the value in capturing the moment & we had the camera right there.
I know when he grows up he will value this memory.. or perhaps maybe only his wife will! Love you son
A big thank you to Akram my wife’s brother for coming along on our little family outing & helping with the camera, he has become quite a videographer by now.
Oh & by the way.. i smile.. ALOT in real life.. i was very camera shy though in this.. go figure.
Dont forget to click full screen so you can see just how chubby im getting from all the wedding cake.. mmm wedding cake!

We had the chance to help out a great magician that i met at a wedding a few months ago by the name of Neo. He got me & my wife aboard the Magique cruise on darling harbor Sydney & we got to meet lots of fun loving characters.. & when i say characters well.. it was a dress up party. The party cruising Sydney harbor overlooking the harbor bridge & the opera house went for about 4 hours & we got a chance to take lots of photographs of Neo doing his magic & we took a few photos of the guests in the fantastic costumes.
The cruise was sponsored by Kryspy Kreme, Max brenner & Cupcakes on Pitt and had some great talent aboard. The Cupcakes.. wow go there & try some there delicious!!! There website is here http://www.cupcakesonline.com.au/ Best cupcakes iv ever had!! It would be such a nice idea to have cupcakes at a wedding.. unique & cute.
I also had the chance lately to photograph Neo to add a touch of magic to some images.. let me know what you think as im about to create another one & would love some feedback.Heres some photos of the guests & one photos i added a little magic to for Neo. If your looking for a magician for your unique wedding… i highly recommend Neo, great person & great performer. Find Neo here Link.

Well its summer & you just cannot predict the weather in Sydney!
I planned a photoshoot in a quiet beach close to Bondi a few days ago for a family whom i shot a wedding for a year or so ago, unfortunately i didn’t realize it would rain heavily that day!
As xmas arrives many weddings are being booked for the following years, designers are wanting new xmas/ summer fashion catalogs for there stores xmas rush & families are wanting those beautiful xmas pictures to mark the occasion & to add to there cards & send away to there loved ones. So its a very busy season for a photographer! I had a couple book a family portrait session & although it knew there was a chance of rain the couple really wanted some nice new images to mark the occasion & send away to there loved ones overseas. There time was limited so we had to fit it in on Sunday otherwise miss the shoot completely, besides that i am mostly booked up till xmas!
It was raining when we set out at 4pm in fact it was raining most of Sunday and as we set out with my client following me & my assistant to the location our hearts were all breaking as the rain pored over our cars. As we arrived to a gloomy scene set by windscreen wipers pushing buckets of rain onto the wet road i called Amy & told her not to worry, to have some patients & don’t be disheartened. I spoke to my assistant sitting next to me in my car hopping for the best but the rain didn’t seam like it was going to stop ever!
While we waited we sent our hopes & our worries back & forth between the cars in text messages & all the while the sun started to go down as we sat there in disappointment & i knew our time was limited.
My clients wanted the images badly & i wanted them even more! I love what i do & i knew if the rain would just move on we would be able to have some thick clouds & crashing waves for our backdrop, oh & sunset is the BEST time to shoot! It is when you have some beautiful soft difused light! I love that stuff!
After 20 min or so the rain slowed down & i encouraged my clients to jump out & we ran down to the beach along the shiny wet roads in the sprinkling rain. By the time we dropped our bags, unpacked out equipment & set up the lighting for our set my clients were in there own little world, a beautiful scene as i turned around & seen this beautiful family just being themselves oh & did i mention the rain stopped!
I started shooting some candids & got some really beautiful shots but i wanted more, i asked my client how much she wanted some beautiful images & i got nothing but motivation so i asked her to get her feet wet & run along the water edge but she may have gotten a little to close as the waves came in as you can see below she tripped & fell into the water! Oh what was i to do? I stopped for a min & was about to go in after her even with about $7000 of camera & lenses on me when her husband ran in and pulled her & his son out of the water… what did i do? I caught the moment like any passionate wedding photographer would do!
I made light of the situation as she stood there soaking from head to tow… after all you have to make best of any situation & we kept shooting. We had fun after that joking around & laughing about what had happened but inside i think Amy was very upset as she worried she looked a mess. Amy left early from the shoot even though i wanted the family to stay with me as i love shooting at sunset but i think she felt she looked terrible. After the shoot Amy told me how upset she was & although we couldn’t plan another shoot for her before xmas i offered her a refund as i knew she was very upset & she felt the day was a mess. After talking to her i realized she had only seen low resolution proofs of what we done that day so i set out to develop the images & show her that the day was not at all a waste!
After seeing the images Amy & her family are so happy with the results & after me stressing that i had an unhappy client all is resolved! I feel a big weight has been lifted off my sholders & i want to thank Amy & Robert for a beautiful photoshoot. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your praise over facebook & the phone call i recieved from Robert last night to thank me.. your welcome.

It has been a long & exciting week in photography but for a change i think il talk about myself.. why? Photography is a very personal business, your photographer will spend the most time with you on your wedding day & i think this may be yet another way you can get to know me!
Im not much of a writer (really terrible actually & most likely you will find poor spelling & bad grammar so forgive me) so il make this brief, if you subscribe then maybe you will notice me getting better at this writing stuff & you can let me know how im going!
My wife is having a baby!! Well were both having one but i didn’t want to say i am having a baby as im very conscious of my big tummy at the moment haha. Every client i have ever had knows i love wedding cake! I do!! I love that traditional compressed sugar + added sugar icing, especially if its a chocolate cake inside YUM! Jeff & Rebbecca the couple i spent the week with in Fiji had that exact cake with a little fruit on the side & it has to have been the best cake iv had at a wedding so far!
Yeh so anyway back to me & my wife’s big tummies.. i have a big one cause im often sitting chatting to clients, editing images, researching new things to improve my business etc but most of all i blame all of my clients who give me a big helping of wedding cake!! Yes im talking to you! Shame on you!.. no i love you & i LOVE your cake.. YUM!!
My wife was due on Monday a few days ago so iv asked her to start skipping to get it out.. no im kidding but the doctors told her walking would be good so thats whats doing.. circling my study & keep poking me every time she goes passed.. she just did it again! (Insert sad face here)
Oh & my puppies.. everyone keeps asking about my puppies so il post some images when i have time, they are super cute!

One of the reasons i love my business is the value in ones wedding photos.
A good reason not to hire an amateur for your wedding is that you only have one chance to get your wedding images captured right, there are no retakes.
From time to time i do some photo restoration and see the true value of a couples wedding images when i give it back to them and there faces light up or even better i get a tear or 2.
This photo had some bad discoloration from an apparent coffee stain, there was wipe marks also present and other small rips and damage.
You may see a larger version of this image in better detail here LINK

Wow i am sooo tired, was up all night gluing wallpaper to a prop wall and now, to see the full set im stressing because im worried its not appropriate! well il wait till i start shooting and hopefully it goes good. WISH ME LUCK! i feel like i need it lately! I have an engagement party to go to tonight and i worked my legs hard at the gym last night hehe.
Im looking forward to the party as my work improves every time i shoot and i plan for tonight to be no exception! Its actually one of my wife’s family members engagement party tonight but i wont be relaxing as im working and although i like it this way because i love photography more then relaxing its easy to understand why people hire a photographer rather then getting there family members to do there photography.. it really is a full time job and the whole time im there im just running around, trying to stay out of the way yet trying to get the very best images for my client and it is truly a big responsability as they will never have this party again.
Reminds me of my wedding, my brother did my wedding and he done a great job but i wish i had have got a professional, not only would my wedding photos have been alot better (no offence to my beloved little brother!) but he would have been in more pictures and that alone for me would have been worth it.
Every year im i have been pushing this carear is another year i realise just how much is in my job, i have honetly put in thousands of hours of study time alone not to mention actualy doing my job and photo retouching, there is just so mcuh to learn and its funny i remember reading plenty of books in photography and the author has been in his 50s and he is still studdying even with such an accomplished career and such obvious skill in photography.
Feel free to comment and tick box underneath comment because i dont want to talk to myself in here forever
